Research Projects

Researching road safety problems and issues is vital for the work of RSS. RSS commissions a variety of research projects ranging from attitudinal surveys to evaluation studies. Certain projects are funded directly from RSS budgets allocated to its sub-committees. In addition, the Scottish Government's Transport Directorate allocates a sum for projects carried out on behalf of RSS, while the main research programme is funded by the Scottish Government's Transport Research Planning Group.
